Useless "protective" filter and no hood. Exactly the opposite of what I'd recommend: that's a great way to increase flare and reduce image quality. My recommendation is to get a deeper than stock hood for both the 43 and 77, and discard the filters. The clip-on caps are much better than the "slide off and get lost" stock caps, I agree.
