That is a solution as long you don't shoot moving 'objects' like people ^.^
The most fun thing is IR filter + Polar filter used together ^.^ 
Sometimes it makes 'interesting' results with people, turning their skin 
into marble. Also full spectrum portraits have a very interesting 
skin-tone, makes people look way much younger than they are. Just an 
example:

She is 22 and looks like 12 :D This is out of camera full spectrum shot 
^.^ But as soon weather is a little better I will start to update my IR 
gallery, if interested I will post them here (but they aren't made with 
Pentax... so maybe that would be offtopic :D)
