If you post a picture of a Chevrolet, Paul, and I prefer Alfa Romeos,  
wouldn't it be ridiculous for me to look at your picture and say, out  
of the blue, "Well, I'd rather look at a photograph of an Alfa Romeo,  
but the light is nice."

Looking at a well done photograph of a man, saying "I'd rather the  
subject was female" is a sexist remark. What the fuck is wrong with  
looking at a nicely made photograph of a handsome man and  
complimenting the photographer without prejudice regarding the sex of  
the subject? Or rather, why on earth would you think you have to make  
such a remark? It's a stupid thing to say. What you like or don't  
like, what you prefer, has NOTHING to do with the photograph or the  
photographer, or any critique of same.

It's no wonder that the cormorant is the Official Bird of the PDML. ='-P
