The oldies and the silverbacks among us will be pleased to hear that the K1000 is still in use as a student camera. On my way to work I walk past a college. Normally it's surrounded by students engaged in extra-curricular chemistry, but for a change yesterday they all seemed to be wandering around photographing litter-bins, paving stones and passing office workers. And they were all, without exception, using K1000s.
