Actually unless they have changed the rules the seller in an auction without a reserve is allowed to bid once to mach sure he doesn't have to sell it at some ridiculously low price. And that uses some kind of generic account and he can only do it once. Kent Gittings

And they DO remove negative feedback in such cases as the one you described where violations on the part of the seller have occured. Note that if the seller stated USA bidders only and you are outside USA, it will complicate your case but it should not really matter. Stay nice with eBay and go to the correct form to report the violations and you SHOULD get results. ppro > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Wendy Beard > Sent: Friday, November 16, 2001 9:02 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: OT: Warning about eBay seller > > > > At 19:00 16-11-2001 -0500, you wrote: > >From: Carlos Royo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > >Subject: OT: Warning about eBay seller > > > >Hello all: > >You are free to accept my advice or not, but I advise you to avoid any > >eBay auction by "royalbob", in spite of his mostly positive feedback. > >I was gullible enough to bid in one of his auctions.
