We bought a Miata back in 98 because my wife just had to have one. Turns out, it was really fun to drive. When winter hit she made me drive it. They're actually very good in the snow so long as it's not more than about 3 or 4 inches deep. The front/rear weight distribution is nearly 50/50. We sold it after Megan was born.
