Basically, when you get the camera, you take a picture of your iris. From that point forward, the camera embeds some representation of that iris photo into the metadata of all of the photos it takes. The idea is that it will act like a biological fingerprint to identify the image as having come from that camera. They make claims about it proving the identity of the photographer, but it doesn't, since the camera can't tell who's holding it, some iris photo stored in it notwithstanding.
