I got two photos published in the National Post, a nation-wide daily (formerly owned by robber baron Conrad Black, but that's another story for another time. They were racing photos, of Gilles Villeneuve, one in his car, one headshot, both taken when I was a teenager and they raced F1 at Mosport, Ontario. We snuck into the pits and no one stopped us, and there he was! The friend who was with me ended up being an automotive reporter, and he was editing a Canadian Grand Prix supplement. He told me he needed a couple of pix of Gilles, and wondered if I could dig through the archives. Said he couldn't pay me, but I'd get attribution, which I did. It was pretty cool. cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
