You look like you've tasted something. err. unpleasant, oh yes the 
vignetting.  That's to be expected with any DA lens.  Pentax only 
guarantees that a DA will cover a 29mm or so diameter image circle.  You 
can't expect more, though some of will cover larger formats, there's no 
guarantee that will continue on a future re-designed lens.  The extra 
coverage is quite useless if you use most any previous Pentax Film 
camera, unless you want to shoot at minimum aperture.
