For some reason, when I was shooting this band last Friday, I kept coming back to Lee Wallace on electric guitar. You'll likely never hear of him outside Toronto jazz circles, even though he's one of the best jazz guitarists I've ever heard. Just a young kid in his mid-twenties, I really don't think he knows how good he is.
Anyway, here's a little gallery of him, starting out with the "rhythm section" of the group (Lee being out of focus...): http://tinyurl.com/37daga http://bp3.blogger.com/_EaTEtfR4WJw/R7repUgqf6I/AAAAAAAABe8/gstqKFf3N18/s1600-h/feb_19_02+004.jpg I'm loving the lovely bokeh of the A50mm 1.7: http://tinyurl.com/2uqx5s http://bp3.blogger.com/_EaTEtfR4WJw/R713pkgqgOI/AAAAAAAABhc/YW0YeeFQbv8/s1600-h/feb_21_08+002.jpg I've been struggling to get some detail out of his legs - when you can see them (which I can in PS, but not enough in other viewers), this photo reminds me of Picasso's Old Guitarist http://tinyurl.com/2k6pnf - even though he's not old and grey: http://tinyurl.com/38ftx4 http://bp2.blogger.com/_EaTEtfR4WJw/R713pUgqgNI/AAAAAAAABhU/ZgWu-Px4zW4/s1600-h/feb_21_08+001.jpg Thanks for looking.
