Don't be mean. I really don't know squat about lenses - an equipment geek I'm not! It's an autofocus lens. It has a ring that locks in at A. I thought that made it an A lens. What do I know? It says Pentax 50 on top of it. It opens to f1.7 (although the exif data only ever shows it opening to 1.8). It's plastic. It focuses all by itself if I set the body appropriately. You tell me what it is! ;-) cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
