I agree that a longer lens is most useful for some of the animals in the reservates. Besides the 16-45 I used mostly my 50-200 on my trip to Australia more than a year ago. Some of my pics from there with both lenses are at http://www.dewindvanvoorne.nl/fotoalbum/Australia/index.html
