Rick, Glad I read this post. My ruler based back focus post of yesterday made me wonder about that very possibility. When I switched the ruler angle to a line perpendicular to that initially used, the result was "right on".(?) Made me wonder if the lens were cocked. I then went to staggered flat targets and fiddled 'til I was satisfied with the point of focus..at least, with that series of tests. I probably won't be able to leave it alone and can predict I'll be seeking further confirmation. My curse!
