It's not a real photograph. It's a trick village, which is in constant orbit around the tree. This is the result of a medieval curse visited upon the village by it's neighbour when the cursed village was discovered cheating during the annual Dripping of the Lepers by entering some lepers who also had plague, and therefore produced more than the standard amount of pus. The curse also explains why, to this day, the people of the village have an inordinate liking for fondue and pork scratchings.
