First, take the K20, because even if the files aren't being converted correctly by Photoshop now, odds are that Adobe or Pentax will have the issue resolved very soon, perhaps by the time you get home. Also, a buddy of mine who is a Canon shooter says that they are getting similar complaints, and that it is caused by the dynamic range expansion module, so you might want to check that you don't have it set (Fn/ISO/Fn).
