Hi Fred n Ed, Exactly, I should have been more specific, the SMCPA200/4 macro bokeh close in is quite pleasant. Where I have found problems is for instance when I used it as a long lens at the beach, ie birds in the distance, water behind with reflections of the sun in the small surf far behind. The sun reflections had a very hard edge to them, not smooth at all like the same subject shot with the A200/2.8. I would imagine that a lens free of aberrations would produce an out of focus point source as a perfect blur ie large COC?
