Anyone who isn't looking into digital at this point is as likely to get "locked out" as "locked in". As Mike Johnston pointed out, it's going to be a different universe in three years with respect ro digital photography, whereas film will have changed little, if at all. The days of major film improvements are behind us now. Not for reasons of physics and chemistry but because of budgets. Money for film R & D is *gone* now. Here in Rochester, I know a *lot* of people who work for Kodak. One of my best friends is a chemical engineer at Kodak who, until recently, worked in one of the negative film groups. The cutbacks in the past year and a half have been sweeping, to say the least. His entire *group* was dissolved. He was one of the lucky ones who didn't get laid off but he did get moved to another department and is now working on papers. Inkjet papers. -- Mark Roberts www.robertstech.com - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
