You can tell it's not Britain on several counts. Not least of which is that it says 'Pub' on the pub sign. Nobody in Britain needs to be told when a building is a pub. 'Public House' sometimes appears.
A pub in Britain would also never be called Six Pence (if it wanted any custom) - it's not written as 2 words, only one. The Moon and Sixpence might conceivably make it as a pub name, but it would probably be a Wetherspoons pub, and they're all crap. The book by Somerset Maugham called The Moon and Sixpence is very good though.
