If anyone can get the file without a password, then a search 'bot can. 
The robots.txt file is purely an agreement, and no 'bot is bound by it; 
they're free to ignore it if they want.

There are only two ways to keep material away from the search bots:

1) Don't put that material on the Internet

2) Put it on the Internet, but protect it with (at least) authentication 
or (more securely) non-trivial encryption, and in either case or both 
cases use a non-trivial password.
