It was the final of the Australia & New Zealand one day series & the Kiwis needed 4 runs off the last delivery to win (doable by hitting the ball to the fence surrounding the oval). The Aussie Captain told the bowler (his brother) to deliver an underarm deliver (roll it along the ground). It was legal as per the rules of the game at the time, but the incident was in very poor sportsmanship. If you have about 10 minuets here is the lead up to the event: <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkQRERykq5M> For the quick version: <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vd8BxdmoEXA> The Kiwis have been bitching about it ever since :-) Cheers, Dave (they not long after changed the rules WRT underarm bowling) -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
