Hi,

False. Battery is a bettery and if it's manufactured OK, there's no
problem. I bought a spare for my K10D last spring dirt-cheap from
eBay.de (about 10 EUR incl. shipping from Germany to Estonia, absolutely
no-name, labeled as Minolta NP-400 replacement). I tested tehe battery
before I put it to camera (charged, drained, measured the temperatures
etc.) and it's no worse than original D-LI50. K20D works also fine with
the same battery. But of course, Pentax must say that we have to use
original batteries. If they would say otherwise (yes, you can use
whaterver fits the opening in your cameras), they should take a
responsibility of EVERY possible single problem caused by some crap battery.

BR, Margus
