I marshalled at Oulton Park for one Transatlantic Trophy series, when Barry Sheene was riding the Suzuki "flexy flyer". Most of the marshals would hunker down behind the barrier when he came past because you _really_ weren't sure where it was going. Then there is the non-apochryphal story of Mike Hailwood and the Honda 6. It was handling really badly and the technicians were baffled. MH pointed out that he knew what the solution was. Picking up the rear shocks, he walked to the lake in the infield, followed by a gaggle of techs. He then hurled them into the water. Problem solved. ----------------------------------------- Email sent from www.virginmedia.com/email Virus-checked using McAfee(R) Software and scanned for spam -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
