I'm sure this can't be correct about the models. All three of my MXes have Asahi Pentax engraved on the pentaprism and the AOC logo. None of them have anything stamped onto the rear of the top plate below the film advance lever. (my K1000 does) The Chromes are numbers 410**** and 413****. The black is 952**** I bought one of the chromes new in 1981 (serial number 4**)
