I suppose that it is, but I guess my point was that everything is already tight, and the problem has not be remedied. And so I'm hesitant to take it apart just for the sake of taking it apart. I see the value of this in the snap-lock design that that William mentioned, but not so much for this one. But it's very possible that I have no clue what I'm talking about... Manfrotto sent me a "we'll get back to you" email... but no definitive answer yet. Nonetheless, at the end of the day if I prove to be clueless and just have to adjust and tighten things more, then I would not be surprised.
