That's pretty much how I see it. I've made exactly one lens purchase in the last few years that I more or less regret. I was at the Don's one day with my wife, and bought the 40/2.8 LTD lens on a complete whim. I left it with Tom C last year, and so far have had no real desire to retrieve it. OTOH, I have a real desire to go visit Tom and Linda again, so I may end up down there to get it as an excuse for a visit. He really does live in a small corner of the USA that is as close to paradise as I have seen.
