Well I'm glad we don't have to "fight" about it...

Seriously I'm very impressed with the 28-70mm f4.0 on a digital body, 
but then it was one of the nicest little lenses on film.   I know some 
people were disappointed with it on a DSLR, which combined with the 
element separation problems it's known for has has lead to it being one 
of the more affordable short zooms from the end of the film era.  I find 
it to be exceedingly sharp on the *ist-D and Ds.  I'm thinking that most 
people have to be disappointed in the zoom range on the APS size sensor 
more than image quality.  I can't remember the last time I shot a bad 
picture with this lens that wasn't due to a mistake on my part.  I'm 
hoping that it will continue to be true when I upgrade to the K20D.
