Here's a PDML-only note, not included in the blog: If you're going to walk around all day with a camera on your wrist you don't want to be changing lenses, and you really don't want to be fiddling with the lens-cap when the picture occurs. With Pentax's 40mm pancake prime, the problem goes away; the built-in lens hood means you're really not going to smudge the lens unless you're really unlucky (or have a grabby toddler), so stick the awkward little screw-in cap in your pocket and just forget about it. Well, and that lens just gets right out of your way.
