Vulcans and other planes used to practice low-level flying over the Scout camp
I went to as a child. It became commonplace during the week for the crews to
wave back to us as they went past - I am sure some of them came round for a
second go.

The lowest flyers of all were the RNAS Buccaneers. I can't find any film of
their participation in the "Red Flag" exercises in Nevada, although I know it
exists. If you can find it, it is possibly the best trans-sonic low-level
flying you will ever see.
