My favourite photo magazine, ei8ht, has changed from a quarterly to a
half-yearly, and also changed the type of contents. The first of the new
editions arrived last week and I had a chance to look at it this morning. It is
even better than it used to be, and I thoroughly recommend it (once again) to
anybody who is interested in contemporary photojournalism. They send a regular
digest to subscribers, with links to the online presence www.foto8.com and
various photo-stores, which I have forwarded for anyone who is interested.

Bob

This month: Larry Towell's new book, and two new editions from Martin Parr. In
similar ways the three books all show very personal photographic perspectives,
whether a view from the vantage of Larry's own front doorstep or a sneak peak
into Martin's obsession with collecting objects and postcards.

News Round Up

8 Magazine <http://www.foto8.com/home/content/view/384/218/> April was a busy
and exciting month at Foto8. After six months of hard work by us and patient
loyalty from our readers we released the new issue of 8 Magazine. The release
was marked with a private view at the central London agnes b. store, where we
are currently exhibiting works from the past issues of 8 Magazine in 8
Magazine: The Cover Stories which runs until 14 May.

The new issue has had a fantastic reception.

...in my opinion it has become THE reference magazine for documentary and
photojournalism. And I'm sure that’s not going to change with the new format.
