look at the ram data in the task manager -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Rick Womer Sent: Sunday, May 04, 2008 2:15 PM To: [email protected] Subject: OT question for PC types
We have a Mac household, but my work computer is an HP with a 2 gHz processor and 1 gig of RAM running XP. There is a lot running on it (60-odd processes when I checked using alt-ctrl-del just now). The question is: How much of a speed improvement should I expect if I double the RAM? If the limiting factor is the processor, I don't want to invest in more RAM.
