Pentax film body recommendations:

As said, the MZ-S and LX keep their value: the first is rare, the second a
legend. Probably not the best buys.

If you like the dual control wheel set-up of the high-end digital cameras
get the Z1-p. It is cheap (75,- to 150,-) and very capable. In some area's
more than the MZ-S if I'm not mistaken. I prefer the Z1-p over the older
Z-1 (without p).

If you like the classic style, but want AF get an MZ-5n or MZ-3. Small,
light and quite capable. Probably way under 100,- at the moment, though I
have not been following prices recently. If you get a MZ-5, make sure it's
the -n version. It adds some worthwhile features.

If you don't like your camera to focus for you, but like modern exposure
modes a super A (or 645 ;-) would be a good choice. It has all the
exposure modes (Av, Tv, P, M). Solid build and surprisingly not much
bigger than an MX.

If you want to do it all yourself get an MX. It's a lovely little camera,
with a viewfinder to get lost in.

Pop-up flash was introduced with the AF camera's. As far as I know, all AF
camera's have them, and there isn't a MF camera with one (not even the
MZ-M...).

Check the K-mount page (www.bdimitrov.de/kmp) for all the technical
details. There are probably more nice models than the ones I just
mentioned...

Hope this helps,
Regards, Lucas
