Actually if ** 50mm ** was your "normal" reference and it aint for
everybody, then on digital you need a LP ( 33 and a third mm ).

I have found I tend to favor 28mm primes on istDS over 35mm if
I dont want to change lenses and want to shoot RAW-PRIME which is
the key for absolute best results on the istDS at least. APS digital
really puts the full court press on your lenses, that's what you are
dealing with. I can imagine the problem is even "worse" (noticable) on 14mP
models
because then you are really recording even more at the limit of the lens
abilities.
