I like the quality of the light in this one. It must be very much in the middle of nowhere (ie, not near any cities!) for you to be able to leave the shutter open for this long and not completely blow out the exposure. Even at that, it looks like the foreground is actually UNDEREXPOSED still! So - when you do a 970 second shot, do you just lock the shutter open and walk away for the 16 minutes it takes? > K10D, DA* 16-50mm f2.8 @ 16mm, 969 seconds @ f4, ISO 100, slight > amount of reflected red gelled flash, lots of spotting in PS. > How do you determine how much flash is enough to mix with the long exposure - trial and error? Sounds like a looooong night of experimentation (or years of practice so you can "just know" when you do it now). -Charles -- Charles Robinson - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Minneapolis, MN http://charles.robinsontwins.org -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
