I recall seeing a test on one of the Olympus water and shock proof...they just 
let the camera in the habds of a 1 year old baby for a while...and the camera 
survived.

I have used this camera and I own a Optio W20 and I have to admit that this one 
is more resistent for sure (it is advertised as shockproof) although I am not 
sure if it is still being produced of if it has a replacement. It was more 
expensive too, though.

Hi Everyone:  I'd like to get my youngest nephew a P&S.  He'll be 8 in 2 
months.  I've researched this a bit & the Fisher Pricesque stuff appears to 
be mainly for toddlers.  Ruggedly built would be the #1 requirement.  Any 
suggestions?
