Hi Paul, Walt, John Francis, and Brian:
After importing the frames into Lightroom, I see that the size is 2716 x
1830, so think John Francis & Walt are right with respect to the 300 dpi.
It's very likely I didn't really understand what the guy was telling me.
But given what you guys have said and the actual pixel size, these scans are
probably around what Walt was/is getting, which, as he stated, was 2000ish
dpi.

I really wanted to try scancafe.com because they scan at 3000 dpi @ 19 cents
a frame, & you don't have to pay for the scans you don't like (though you do
have to agree to purchase a minimum of 50% of frames sent in), but their
turn around time now (because they've gotten incredible press) is 8 WEEKS!

But now that I've got the ok from you guys, I think I'll start cleaning my
negs & get Costco to scan.

Big thanks for all you help. It's really appreciated. Sorry I took so long
to get back. I've had bad email problems most of the late afternoon.
Cheers, Christine
