You can induce purple fringing with any lens on a digital sensor. Just shoot dark branches against a white sky. It never fails. It's unavoidable, and it's no reason to dismiss this lens. I expect the FA 200 would fringe even more. In fact, based on experience with other earlier lenses, I'm sure it would.
