I had ordered the DA 55~300 lens before we left for our trip to New Orleans for my daughters graduation. Gone for a week and dealer says it will be end of July. Nope, I said, cancel. Today I was in the local Ritz and they had a Quantaray (Sigma) 70~300 for 149.00. I decided a bird in the hand..... and bought it.
