Sunday morning, overcast, windy and cool. Just wolfed down a bacon and egg sandwich that chef Loveless produced from thin air. Cory and Helen hiked out on the Black Rock trail to catch the sunrise. I'm impressed. Missing the first presentation but thunder in the distance means I get my tent down now before it rains. I'll be up for the awards ceremony by Doug and Mark at 11.15pm.
Meanwhile, a picture! <http://www.cottysnaps.com/snaps/spare4.html> Took us 4 hours to reach the Attic Window and return - longer than usual because I am filming as we go. This means stopping and starting, sometimes traversing the same piece of trail 2 or 3 times so I can get different angles. At the Attic Window, I was on my stomach leaning out over the ledge about 20 feet up, filming straight down. Spectacular. I'm sure Mark will post a few pics later. Back to Charlotte later, Newark tomorrow lunchtime, Heathrow the morning after. A bit thin on the ground this year with PDMLers, but hopefully 2009 will see a few more (this means you!).
