thanks for the nice words, I tried to pass them on! :-) He and his (7 year old) sister both like taking photos. Typically, when I use the w30 they want to make photos too (I once let them, and now they like it. what's new :-) which is kind of fine, because I bought it with family use in mind (I think that when I bought it I was already anticipating them liking it :-) (it only lacks the toughness I'v seen in the mju tough adverts :-) it is interesting to see what is considered photo-worthy -- in the swimming pool almost anything that is to see there seemed worthy of being photographed. back to this shot, seriously, although I've seen your smiley :-) I have been thinking a bit what to me makes this shot different than the other shots, blurry or not (not all his(our?) shots are blurry :-) I think it is the contrast between the blurry background that essentially reduces to colors (spectators in the swimming pool watching their children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters etc do the swimming exam to obtain the B swimming diploma) and the relatively sharp edges of the lane marker, of which nearby you still see the tube-like shape, even though the separation between the elements that the lane marker is made of is more difficult to see, and also the border between the red and white colors is blurred. and then the color contrast as well, I guess(*) I guess it resulted this way because the camera shake happened more or less in the same direction as the lane marker. Axel. (*) though I'm watching this on a relatively recent (aluminium) 20" imac that seems to have the issues attributed to the use of the TN display panel that is said to make it less perfect for photos. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
