... while I download and install GIMP on the bedside machine
that _didn't_ start ticking a little while ago. (The other
one is currently wrapped in plastic and resting in my 'fridge,
in the hope that the hard drive containing the photos that I
was editing when it started ticking, will start working again
after it's cooled enough. Wish me luck getting it to run
long enough to 'scp -r' those files over to the rackmount
machine downstairs.)
This computer has a dimmer display, so I don't know how good
my judgement of colours/levels will be ...
