What surprises me is when somebody from a part of the world where
ouds are fairly common folk and pop instruments, writes to me here
in the US asking for tips or help finding a teacher, because of my
"quick intro to the oud for guitarists" page. From any other part
of the planet, that wouldn't surprise me.
