I use a very wieldy Sigma 70~300 f4.0/5.6 Apo Macro Super. It's a 35mm lens of course. The only problem I have is shake in the absence of enough light. And of course it hunts, like any long auto-focus lens. I simply can't afford the newer DSLR Pentax lenses but all the SLR lenses I have perform very well on the *ist D. The auto-bellows A works as well. As does the Tokina Doubler.
