Speaking of tripods, do you always use a dedicated mount for it (aka Wimberley Head, or that Manfrotto cradle-thing)? I'm in two minds over whether the Wimberley Sidekick is sufficient when mounted on the 55mm ballhead from ReallyRightStuff. It worked fine with this shot but then again there was ample light and not much vibration to expect at 1/3000s...
The Sidekick scores high on solution flexibility and low weight, though.
