There's a little bit of purple fringing at the edge of the frame in high contrast situations, you have to look for it, but it is there. The Sigma 300 f/4 APO that I've had for years is free of any such problems. I think I need to use the DA more before I can come to any real conclusions about image quality but it is sharp.
