At the 1998 and 2000 Petit le Mans races, a car backflipped on the back 
straight.  In 1998 it was Yannick Dalmas in a prototype (?Porsche 
LMP-1?).  In 2000 it was Bill Auberlin in a Mercedes prototype (?CLK 
GTR?).  Both times I was on the opposite side of the track.  In 1998, I 
didn't even know about it until I saw a replay the next day on ESPN or 
SpeedChannel.
