Yeah, understood.  I'm sure it is... for most :)

I guess I'm really trying to pervert the purpose of the flash sync anyway; 
I'm using it to drive a second slave camera via a wireless link; such that 
any time I take a shot of my handheld K20D, my K10D takes a wide-angle shot 
from its static tripod also.

Works very nicely, so long as I'm careful to stay at or below 1/180th 
shutter speed.

Guess I'll just have to live with that.  Thanks all for the respones.
