Well, your wish is my command, occasionally anyway. It does need a bit more snap, but even a little more contrast was too much no matter how much I played around with it. However a bit more "micro contrast" seems to have worked wonders. Anyone who hasn't heard about adjusting "micro contrast" wondering what I'm talking about should try it out. I've read about it in a couple of tutorials. It uses the Photoshop USM tool, set to 20% 50 pixels, 0 threshold. Sometimes these settings do exactly what you want, sometimes you have to play with them a bit. If anyone wants to see the difference just click on the picture. Doing that will cycle between the original and the new version.
