Maybe, maybe not :-)

Ok. I'll do it.

It isan old lighthouse, made of cast iron. It represents the story of
labour, and the story of ships in trouble.

The story goes all back to 1725, when the Dutch ship Akerendam sank
outside the reefs loaded with 19 chests of gold and silver. The first
"lighthouse was just a hole in the rocks. The lighthouse we see here
represented great progress. and it was built in 1859. It was used up
to 1935, Then it was replaced by more modern concrete tower with with
an oil lamp (the oil lamp part is my guess).

The lighthoue keeper had to have a large coal fire going inside this
gigantic iron cast construction 24/7 all year long. He had to be
dedicated to his job, I presume.

Ok. That's the brief version of the story. Now it is a memorial over
past times. But to me it represents something more, that's the reason
for the odd title. The construction is now a useless dead object, but
the rust makes it kind of alive.
