Mark, if I may add my two cents here. I think that being macro lens, Sigma ought to have much more uniform and flat field of focus. Whereas Pentax, being a common purpose lens is not hmmm obliged to behave like Sigma does...
I should say that I will probably be getting one of those higher quality close up diopters for my lenses too.
