My 70-200 rotates and it also has two tripod mount holes. This helps
when mounting a camera like my D2H or i suppose one with a grip, as
the mount is pretty tight against the tripod this way.

My Sigma 100-500 is a bugger to mount on my old Manfrotto tripod, but
better with the Slik 700 Pro. Smaller head i suppose, like the
operator.:-)
